Opportunity at the Neuro-Metabolism Research Lab

A one-year position is available at the Deborah Chiabrando’s laboratory at the Molecular Biotechnology Center (MBC) of the University of Torino, Italy.

We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a strong background in cellular and molecular biology, to investigate the function of the heme and choline transporter FLVCR1.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to further academic training in a dynamic and stimulating environment. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about pushing the boundaries of scientific knowledge and eager to make impactful contributions in the field of rare disease research.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or related disciplines is required. A PhD in a field related to the field of life sciences is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in cellular and molecular biology techniques, confocal microscopy and analysis of cell metabolism.
  • Prior experience with the handling and characterization of mouse models will be considered a plus.

 

The successful candidate is expected to be able to work independently in a team-oriented manner. Good verbal and written English communication skills are essential.
